THE NEW GAME IN TOWN

THE NEW GAME IN TOWN

To carry on the legacy of Harriett Woods, former MO Lt. Governor and mentor to women nationwide, we are proud to announce the creation of “Harriett’s List”.
HARRIETT’S LIST IS THE NEW GAME IN TOWN.

We must increase our numbers of progressive women in the state legislature if we are to impact those issues that we care deeply:  equality for women (in the home and the boardroom) and social and economic justice.

No more talk.  We’re rolling up our sleeves and supporting TERRIFIC women candidates all over the state for 2010.

Join with us.  Help increase our voice in Missouri.

HARRIETT’S LIST FIRST CANDIDATE WINS!

HARRIETT’S LIST FIRST CANDIDATE WINS!

State Representative Stacey Newman was elected in the state’s only legislative race on the Special Election ballot November 3, 2009 - with more than a 23 % vote margin over her opponent!

Rep. Newman, 73rd District in St. Louis,  was the very first candidate Harriett’s List supported since our launch in June and  is a huge victory for us and all Missouri women!

As the “2010 freshman class of one”, her victory increases the number of progressive women in the state legislature to 22.

We are incredibly proud of and happy for Stacey, one of the original co-founders of Harriett’s List! Congratulations to her family, her campaign staff and all of the dedicated volunteers & supporters who worked tirelessly toward victory.
